Majilis deputies to make recommendations to Government on roads' development

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Deputies of the Majilis of "Nur Otan" party will make recommendations to the Government on the development of roads in the western regions of Kazakhstan, this statement has been made by Vice-Speaker of the House, leader of "Nur Otan" faction of in the Majilis Dariga Nazarbayeva at the meeting of Council on regional policy and the work with representative bodies.
"We want to identify all the problems of the sector and generate recommendations to the Government", said D.Nazarbayeva. Minister of Transport and Communications Zhenis Kasymbek and representatives of the Atyrau, West Kazakhstan and Mangystau regions spoke at the round table. In their opinion, the main reasons for the poor state of roads in the western regions are underfunding repair and maintenance of public roads. In particular, in West Kazakhstan region 14% of national roads are in poor condition, in Aktobe region - 38%, in Mangystau region - 5%, and in Atyrau region - 40%.
