Majilis deputies approved bill on power facilities state control improvement

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today at the plenary session under the chairmanship of Kabibulla Dzhakupov the Majilis has approved in the first reading the draft law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issues of control and supervision over the work of electric power facilities".
Introducing the document, the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev noted that the bill aims at improving the control and supervision of electric power facilities operation, technical state of power facilities equipment, increasing the responsibility of energy producers and energy organizations working in autumn-winter period, protecting a wide range of consumers of electricity and heat, and ensuring the quality of services provided by energy companies.
In addition, the bill introduced restrictive measures on the export and import of electric energy in the case of their deficit or surplus in the unified power system of Kazakhstan.
