Majilis Chairman & Korean Ambassador discuss bilateral cooperation

The sides noted strategic nature of relationship between Kazakhstan and Korea stressing the significant contribution of Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Pak Kin Xe in further strengthening of the Kazakh-South Korean cooperation.

Special attention was paid to the issues of inter-parliamentary collaboration between the two countries which according to Nurlan Nigmatulin can effectively implement the arrangements of heads of states.

In turn, Baek Hyun Chu praised the economic growth of our country.

Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Korea for 9 months ofn the last year exceeded USD 1 billion. In our country there are over 700 joint ventures with South Korean capital.

During the dialogue the speaker of the Majilis invited South Korean companies to participate in the preparations for EXPO 2017 noting that South Korea has a successful experience of the international exhibition held in 2012 in the city of Yeosu.

Nurlan Nigmatulin and Baek Hyun Chu expressed confidence in further strengthening of the Kazakh-South Korean relations including between the parliamentarians of the two states.
