11 out of 93 deputies voted against the budget.

Deputy Azat Peruashev from Ak Zhol Party faction said he cannot back the current draft budget.

“Let me remind you that when discussing the three-year budget a year ago, we supported the Government’s plan to completely abandon targeted transfers from the National Fund from 2025. In the current draft budget, the transfers amount to 3.3 trillion,” he noted.

The Nationwide Social Democratic Party refrained from voting, explaining that the Government had not taken into account the recommendations of the Supreme Audit Chamber to optimize 3 billion tenge, to redistribute 117 billion tenge and to envisage additional 12.2 billion tenge.

“Why does the Government ignore the Supreme Audit Chamber’s recommendations?” Deputy Askhat Rakhimzhanov asked.

Earlier, Minister of Finance Madi Takiyev presented the draft budget at the Majil’s' plenary session, saying that budget revenues are projected at 21.7 trillion tenge in 2025, and budget expenditures will make 25.87 trillion tenge.
