Majilis approves ratification of Agr't on CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces

ASTANA. January 13. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament has approved a draft law "On ratification of the Agreement on Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization" at its plenary sitting today.
"The Agreement is aimed at creating Collective Rapid Reaction Forces on the basis of the coalition", Kazakh Vice Minister of Defense Bolat Sembinov said. According to him, the composition of the Collective Forces will be approved by the Collective Security Council on the basis of the proposals from the sides. The troops and special military units of the CSTO member states will be included.
The Vice Minister noted that newly created units would both prevent military threats and fight against drug trafficking.
