Majilis approved ratification of Kazakh-French treaty on establishment of remote sensing space system

ASTANA. June 16. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament approved the draft Law 'On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of France on conditions of establishment and use of the remote sensing space system and spacecrafts assembly and testing complex".
"The main purpose of the Agreement is to define principles and conditions of cooperation of sides in supply and use of the remote sensing space system with high-resolution spacecraft and spacecrafts assembly and testing complex", deputy chairman of the National Space Agency of Kazakhstan Meirbek Moldabekov said presenting the draft Law.
According to him, special production will be established in Kazakhstan for launching the spacecrafts assembly and testing complex. The realization of the project is scheduled for 2012.
M.Moldabekov emphasized that establishment of the remote sensing space system will allow to increase efficiency of solution of economic and social problems and provision of defense and national security.
