Majilis approved amendments to legislation on valuation activity

ASTANA. January 14. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament) approved a bill ?On introduction of amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issues of valuation activity?, Kazinform reports.

As Kazakh Vice Minister of Justice Marat Beketayev noted, suggested amendments were developed in order to modernize and improve the system of valuation activity market. The bill provides accomplishment of gradual transition from the state control over property appraisal to self-regulation of the activity. Institute of examination of candidates for valuation activity, aimed at their knowledge level check will be introduced. It will lead to increase of quality of valuation services. It was also suggested to assign an authorized body to develop and adopt obligatory standards of valuation for appraisers. Majilismen introduced a number of amendments to the bill.
