Majilis approved amendments to legislation on issues of currency regulation and control

ASTANA. March 4. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament) approved the bill ?On introduction of amendments to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan on the issues of currency regulation and control? at the plenary session, Kazinform reports.
As Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh National Bank Daniyar Akishev noted, the amendments are designed to further modernization of the system of currency regulation and currency control. They are aimed at further liberalization of the exchange regulation, simplification of the procedures of exchange regulations and repatriation of the national and foreign currency.
The bill expands a spectrum of measures, taken within the special exchange regime, which is imposed by an act of the Head of the State if there is any threat for the economic security of the country and stability of its financial system.
