Main New Year trees in capitals of Central Asian countries

The main New Year's beauties are already decorating the central squares of the capitals of Central Asian countries, Kabar reports.

Astana

The main New Year tree of Kazakhstan was lit on December 17. It was installed on the territory of the International Exhibition Center EXPO in Astana. It is 25 meters high.

During the lighting of the New Year tree, a concert, a New Year's fair, slides, an ice skating rink, a labyrinth, a food court, themed photo zones and more were organized for residents and guests of the capital. About five thousand people took part in the event.

Ashgabat

In the capital of Turkmenistan, the ceremony of lighting the green beauty lights took place on December 15. It was installed on the square of the Alem cultural and entertainment center. The height of the spruce is 44 meters, and the diameter is 16 meters. It was constructed from natural fir branches brought from Siberia and decorated with 4 thousand toys and 55 thousand LED light bulbs.

At the top of the spruce tree there is an octagonal star with the inscription “2024”. It is surrounded by monitors that display swimming fish - symbols of the coming year according to the Turkmen national calendar.

Bishkek

In Bishkek, the lights of the country's main New Year tree were lit on December 15. According to tradition, it was installed on Ala-Too Square. The height is 32 meters and the diameter is 12 meters.

A concert with performances by Russian pop singers was organized for the guests of the event. The New Year tree was decorated in a circle from the very top to the bottom with 32-meter LED garlands.

Dushanbe

The main New Year's attribute in Dushanbe decorates Independence Square. This year its height reaches 30 meters, diameter - 16 meters. There will be a festive concert on New Year's Eve and fireworks.

Tashkent

The main Christmas tree is also traditionally erected at the National Library of Uzbekistan. It is 35 meters high. Festive events at this place will be held from December 28 to January 8 from 11:00 to 23:00.
