Magnitude-6.0 earthquake hits offshore California

BEIJING. February 5. KAZINFORM A magnitude-6.0 earthquake hit the coast of Northern California on Thursday, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage; Kazinform refers to China Daily.
The quake was centered along the Northern California coastline about 35 miles (56 kilometers) northwest of the town of Petrolia and nearly 50 miles (80 kilometers) west of Eureka, according to the US Geological Survey.
It struck shortly after 12:20 pm local time, the survey said.
The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office said it received no reports of major injuries or damage; Kazinform cites China Daily.
