Magnitude-5.0 earthquake hits Sichuan

BEIJING. May 25. KAZINFORM A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted the border area between Dujiangyan city and Pengzhou city at 14:11:52 Tuesday, China's seismological network reported; Kazinform refers to China Daily.
The epicenter is located at a depth of 10 kilometers, 31.1 degrees north latitude and 103.7 degrees east longitude.
The quake lasted for about 10 seconds. Residents in Chengdu and the nearby Mianyang city felt the shock waves, sources said.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The Dujiangyan irrigation system, the world's oldest, is still functioning, Xinhua News Agency reported, citing the provincial seismological bureau; Kazinform cites China Daily.
