Magdeburg hosts Day of Kazakhstan's economy
The forum was organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Germany in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of the city of Magdeburg, and the Fraunhofer Institute for automation and mechanical engineering. The event was attended by a delegation of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan headed by the Executive Secretary Beibut Atamkulov, as well as over 100 representatives of German companies, research institutions and organizations involved in the field of innovation and high technology. Welcome speeches were delivered by the Minister of Science and Economy of the State of Saxony-Anhalt, Hartmut Mёlring, the Mayor of the city of Magdeburg Ruediger Koch and president of the Chamber of Commerce in the region Klaus Olbricht. Kazakh speakers informed German participants on the policies and promising areas of cooperation in innovation and new technologies in the context of the priorities outlined by the President in his January address to the nation Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy. The German side, in turn, stressed that the measures, taken by the Government of Kazakhstan to improve the investment climate in the country, have created favorable conditions for the development of innovations and new technologies needed for successful economic modernization and industrialization.
