‘Made in Kazakhstan’ campaign launched in Astana

President Nursultan Nazarbayev at the enlarged session of the Government of February 11, 2015 called Kazakhstani people to support domestic producers. The President proposed to launch a nationwide campaign called "Made in Kazakhstan". The action assumes that all retail sales would showcase sections of Kazakhstan-made goods. This would create more favorable conditions for citizens who wish to purchase Kazakhstan-made goods. "Let us encourage Kazakhstanis to be patriotic and buy products made in Kazakhstan. It would be a great individual contribution to the national economy," he said. Activists of the nationwide movement "Kazakhstan 2050" began negotiations with large retail chains of and manufacturers. "A2" supermarket chain of Astana one of the first responded to support the action. Sections with the products of domestic manufacturers are marked with special colored labels with "Made in Kazakhstan" inscriptions. At the present time activists are negotiating with large stores throughout the country to support the campaign.
