M6.0 quake strikes off coast of Java, Indonesia

JAKARTA. KAZINFORM - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 hit off the Indonesian island of Java on Wednesday night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
Indonesian authorities have not issued a tsunami warning following the 9:45 p.m. quake, which originated at a depth of about 35 kilometers off the southern coast of western Java. There were no immediate reports of damage.
