LUKOIL Overseas awarded for Arai project

ASTANA. March 27. KAZINFORM - "Lukoil Overseas", the operator of international upstream projects of "LUKOIL" OSC, has won the prestigious professional competition titled "KonTEKst-2012» (PR and corporate journalism in the energy industry) which was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy of Russia.

Arai Social Project being implemented by the Kazakhstan branch of "LUKOIL Overseas" has been found the best image project in the industry. The Arai social partnership program launched in 2007 in Mangistau and Aktobe oblasts of Kazakhstan is unique, enabling people in rural communities to receive repayable grants on a competitive basis of up to six thousand dollars for their own business.

Over the period of the program realization there have been created more than 1,000 jobs at 500 small and medium-sized enterprises which are providing a variety of services. Arai project has been awarded the most prestigious state and public awards of Kazakhstan like "Paryz", "Tanym" and "Ar-Namys". This year the rebranding of the project has taken place and its implementation started in the Kyzylorda region of Kazakhstan.

In addition, "Lukoil Overseas" got the special diploma for the highest standards of corporate policy.

The award called "KonTEKst" has been given for the fourth year, and it is the most prestigious award in the field of public relations in fuel and energy complex of Russia.
