Low-income people to receive housing repair assistance under state program

In accordance with the new Program of Housing and Utilities Sector Modernization, expenses of a family for paying utility bills and maintenance of the condominium property should not exceed 10% of the family income. Expenses of a family exceeding 10% of the income are paid by the state.
It is worth noting that the maximum share of the family income spent for paying utility bills and maintenance of the condominium property is defined by the maslikhat.
In order to take part in the Program, apartment owners should make a decision regarding repair of a house at a general meeting of residents and register condominium facility.
Then the house residents should submit an application to the akimat and jointly with the housing commission draw up an evaluation report and design specifications and estimates. Budget of expenditures for the repair is approved at a general meeting of the apartment owners.
