ALMATY. June 28. KAZINFORM "There are clear commercial ties between our countries. The sales turnover between Kazakhstan and Great Britain almost doubled in 2009-2010 and continued to grow," Lord Mayor of the City of London Alderman David Wootton told a Thursday press conference in Almaty.
Lord Mayor of London is in Kazakhstan to promote London as the world's leading financial center, the British companies rendering financial and entrepreneurial services and add to the expansion of trade and investments between two countries.
"I would like to stress once again Great Britain and London, in particular, are very attractive centers for investments. For instance, the total volume of investments has made more than £50 billion since 1991," A.D. Wootton added.
