Lithuania confirms its participation in EXPO 2017

During the two-day visit to Vilnius, the delegation met with Chancellor of the Government of Lithuania Alminas Mačiulis, Minister of Environment Valentinas Mazuronis, Minister of Energy Rokas Masiulis, Minister of Transport and Communications Rimantas Sinkevičius and other Lithuanian officials. The main goal of the visit was to invite Lithuania to participate in the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana and discuss state and prospects of Kazakhstani-Lithuanian bilateral cooperation. At the meeting with the Chancellor of the Government of Lithuania, the sides touched upon a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation and organization of the upcoming visit of Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius to Kazakhstan this May. Mr. Zhoshybayev handed Alminas Mačiulis President Nursultan Nazarbayev's official invitation to his Lithuanian counterpart Dalia Grybauskaitė to attend EXPO event in the Kazakh capital. Chancellor Mačiulis, in turn, confirmed that Lithuania will participate in the grandiose event in Astana. The Kazakhstani delegation is expected to jet off to Latvia on April 15.
