Many speakers recalled the conference "The role of logistics in the way of Asia-Europe". Could you tell us about this event.
The conference "The role of logistics in the way of Asia-Europe" was successfully held on Jan. 29 in Almaty under the patronage of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the Ministries of Transport of Lithuania and Kazakhstan. Minister of Transport of Lithuania Eligijus Masiulis, Vice Minister of Economy of Lithuania Arnoldas Burkovskis, Vice Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Azat Bekturov, Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Yerkhat Iskaliev, representatives of other ministries of Lithuania and Kazakhstan attended the conference. JŪRA MOPE SEA, the international business magazine, was the organizer of this conference together with the company «TL NIKA Group", operating in Lithuania and Kazakhstan. In the new issue of the magazine, which is released on the eve of the 20th anniversary of Independence of Lithuania, an article about the conference and presentations of well-known professionals of transport and logistics of Eurasian region is published. The purpose of our conference was to engage professionals to talk about issues of transport, transit and logistics on professional level. Thoughts and ideas of professionals are reflected in the resolution, which was represented to the governments and decision making institutions. The conference was highly appreciated at the 18th Economic and Environmental Forum of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) that was held in Vienna in early February. The head of the group companies in Lithuania and Kazakhstan «TL NIKA Group» Vytautas Varasimavichyus was awarded for the contribution to the strengthening of the Kazakh-Lithuanian economic cooperation. Executive director of the Association of National Freight Forwarders of the Republic of Kazakhstan Segal Ilya Pavlovich was awarded for popularization of logistics as a science.
You wrote that "one of the strategic issues during Kazakhstan presidency of the OSCE will be the problem of transport and transit". What do you mean by this?
Next year Lithuania will take over the OSCE leadership and will continue the policy of this strategy. I need to mention the program "Path to Europe" too. All these events and projects show that European direction of foreign policy of Kazakhtan is very important and highly promising. In the upcoming two years, both countries need to think and solve not only their national, but also the issues of transport policy of Eurasia. Eurasian region is a strategic field of view of the journal JŪRA MOPE SEA, which aims to be the information bridge between East and West.
