Lithium field worth USD 8 mln in investments being developed in Kazakhstan
Kazakh Industry and Construction Ministry revealed what rare-earth metals development projects are presently being developed in Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Kazakhstan signed a number of strategic documents with the EU countries, Great Britain, South Korea, Japan, China in the sphere of mining and production of rare and rare-earth metals. A package of long-term investment projects on the development of rare metals ore is being developed countrywide.
For example, HMS Bergbau AG of Germany conducts exploration at the Akhmetkino lithium field with an estimated amount of investments up to 8 million US dollars. If its reserves are approved, the total amount of investments will reach 500 million US dollars, the Ministry’s representatives said.
The tungsten processing plant was commissioned in Almaty region last November 1. Construction of an ore mining and dressing plant has come to an end. The total cost of the project stands at 300 million US dollars.
