Today, a sitting of the linguistic commission was held in the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan where the issues regarding the work of the commission, standards of the command of the state language for the presidential candidates were discussed.

"Today, we chose the questions for the candidates. The procedure consists of three stages. First of all, a candidate will have to write a text on the theme given by the commission during 60 minutes. In case a candidate needs more time, the commission has the right to extend the time to 90 minutes," head of the commission, Doctor of Philological Sciences Myrzatai Zholdasbekov said.

Then, the candidate will have to read the text given by the commission. The text will not exceed three pages. The third part of the test will be focused on the speaking abilities of candidates. The candidates will have to speak on the topic offered by the commission for 15 minutes.

As earlier reported, the members of the Central Election Commission have the right be present at tests as observers along with the representatives of the linguistic commission and candidates.

The final decision is made by opening voting.
