Lifeguards five minutes late to save a drowning man in Zhambyl region

ASTANA. August 6. KAZINFORM A 57-year-old man drowned while swimming in the town of Zhanatas, Zhambyl region on Monday. His body was discovered five minutes later and pulled out of the water by rescuers on the spot.

Another man thought to be in his 50s also drowned while bathing in the Ural River in Uralsk on August 5. The rescue crew of the West Kazakhstan Regional Emergency Department found the body and took it out of the water.
