The Kazakh leader announced the news during his working trip to Zhezkazgan where he launched new railway lines - Zhezkazgan-Beineu and Arkalyk-Shubarkol on Friday. "Domestic healthcare has improved over the last couple of years and that in its turn led to a significant decrease in maternal mortality and greater lifespan of Kazakhstanis from 66 years in 2008 to 71 years in 2014. This, in my opinion, is the pivotal achievement of our economy throughout the years of independence," President Nazarbayev stressed.
