Leader of terrorist group destroyed in Dagestan

According to the source, officers of the Federal Security Service and police came under fire at about 23:30 on Friday, when they tried to stop a car with three supposed criminals for a check of documents near the village of Manas in the Karabudakhkent district of Dagestan. The criminals were killed in return fire.

At present, the identity of two gunmen was established. Among them was leader of Izberbash terrorist group Kamil Magomedov who was on the wanted list for the attempt on the life of law enforcers and grave crimes with regard to the civilian population.

According to the law enforcement bodies, Kamil Magomedov was also engaged in organizing a number of acts of terrorism with the use of female suicide bombers. In particular, he personally prepared and sent to Moscow female suicide bombers, one of which accidentally exploded herself in a shooting club near Moscow.

The second killed militant was identified as Magomedsultan Aigunov who was also on the wanted list for the attempt on the life of law enforcers and crimes against the civilian population.

The identity of the second destroyed militant is being established.

During an examination of the gunmen's car, two Stechkin pistols, cartridges for them and grenades were found there.
