Law enforcement not ready to counter terrorism and extremism threats-Daulbayev

ASTANA. January 30. KAZINFORM "The resonance events of recent years have demonstrated the unpreparedness of law enforcement bodies to counter terrorist and extremist threats," Kazakh Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev announced during the meeting with the heads of law-enforcement agencies on combating crime and corruption, drug trafficking and the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens under the chairmanship of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
According to him, the main reasons for this is the lack of proper forecasting and analytical and operational work of law-enforcement agencies, the low level of professional training, the mismatch of the material and technical equipment of international standards.
