ASTANA. May 4. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Large international companies express their interest in Mangystau region. Mangystau region governor Krymbek Kusherbayev has said it at a session "Regional development" which is held within the IV Astana Economic Forum "New decade: challenges and prospects."
"Today the most promising oil deposits for development are in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea. They are Kashagan, Block N, Zhemchuzhnoye and others. This requires development of the coastal infrastructure. All the necessary facilities to support maritime operations are planned on the territory of Mangystau region," K.Kusherbayev said.
He noted that in this connection large foreign companies which will to take part in implementation of projects in the oil and gas sector are interested in this region.
