KZT 8.1 bln allocated for social sector of Astana - G.Abdykalikova

ANA. September 19. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Kazakh Minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova has surveyed a number of social facilities, which are under repair within the framework of the Road Map.

"The Road Map has big importance for the capital, because there are many new buildings, and the old ones, which have not been repaired for 30 years, look black and insecure", G.Abdykalikova noted.

She informed that KZT 5.4 bln was allocated from the national budget and KZT 2.7 bln - from the local budget for the social unit of Astana.

"KZT 100 mln was allocated for education in the social sphere last year. By Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev's instruction about KZT 8 bln was allocated within the framework of the Road map this year. Because of it we repaired the entire social unit. It is over 30 schools, hospitals, and roads in the city", Deputy Mayor of Astana Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov said.

According to the Astana akimat, within the framework of this program 114 projects are implemented on three basic directions - reconstruction and repair of the system of housing and utilities, roads construction, repair of schools, hospitals and other social facilities.
