KZT 5 bln allotted for reconstruction of schools

ANA. August 7. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ KZT 5 bln was allocated from the national budget for reconstruction of schools, Official Representative of the Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science Serik Irsaliyev has informed of it today at the briefing.

"KZT 27 bln will be allotted for construction of 1 500 new construction facilities under the Road Map Program. 7 621 state and 115 private schools are expected to be opened before September, 1. 101 correctional school and 600 institutions of extended education will be opened as well", - he said.

According to him 46 schools have been constructed for today under "100 Schools, 100 Hospitals" Program. 22 schools including 2 Intellectual schools of the First President will be launched in Semey and Kokshetau cities this year. 36 schools are expected to be constructed till the end of the year.

According to the Ministry of Education and Science there are 267 736 school teachers in the country. About 6 000 new teachers will start their work this year.

"Children from need families will be given schoolbooks for free", - S. Irsaliyev emphasized.
