KZT 451,5 million to liquidate spring flood consequences in E Kazakhstan

ASTANA. June 25. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ - KZT 451,5 million were allocated by the Government for the liquidation of the spring flood consequences in Eastern Kazakhstan in 2009. Vice-Minister of Emergencies Valeriy Petrov reported today at the sitting of the inter-department state commission for prevention of emergency situations.
"These sources were used for regulation, lining, and strengthening of the river-banks of 15 rivers on the territory of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Rider, and also in 5 regions of the Oblast. The danger of settlements sinking is removed", - added V.Petrov.
Southern Kazakhstan citizens suffered from flood last year, according to the Vice-Minister.
