KZT 1 bln budgeted for holding EBRD meeting, Finance Ministry

ASTANA. May 5. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ "2011 EBRD Annual Meeting will bring together about 1,200 participants on May 20-21 in Astana," Kazakh Finance Minister Bolat Zhamishev said. "It is a large-scale event. The EBRD plays a huge role in the developing countries in Kazakhstan."
Two days under the general theme "Supporting Markets - Asia Meets Europe" will bring together EBRD's Board of Governors, Business Forum, Kazakhstan's Investment Forum, joint conference of France's presidency in G20, and Committee for A New Bretton-Woods, annual donor meeting.
Members of the EBRD (61 countries, EU and EIB), reps of international financial organizations take annually part in this event.
"An organizing committee for conduct of the bank's annual meeting, and a working group of concerned state bodies were founded in Kazakhstan," the Minister added.
