KZ delegation participated in SCO vice ministers' meeting

ASTANA. January 16. KAZINFORM. Kazakh delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Nurlan Yermekbayev took part in a meeting of the vice ministers of the SCO member states. The delegation consisted of National Coordinator on SCO activity Shakrat Nuryshev and reps of law-enforcement bodies, Kazinform reports.
In conformation with the decision of the Dushanbe summit of the SCO, the meeting participants focused on convocation of a special conference on Afghanistan on the level of foreign ministers, press service of the Kazakh MFA informed
The conference will be devoted to consideration of joint actions on countering terrorism, illegal drug traffic and organized crime proceeding from the Afghan territory.
Following up the meeting an agreement on preparation for the conference within a special working group was reached.
