KZ Consul General, Director General of Saudi MFA?s Representation in Makkah

ASTANA. January 19. KAZINFORM On January 17 newly appointed Consul of Kazakhstan to Jeddah Omar Mustafin met with Muhammad Taib, Ambassador, Director General of representation of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah Province, Kazinform reports.
Muhammad Taib congratulated Kazakhstani Diplomat on opening of RK consulate and wished success in further development and deepening cooperation between the two states.
O. Mustafin briefed about the priority tasks of the Consulate, namely rendering assistance to Kazakhstani citizens who arrive in Makkah for Hajj and Umrah and development of investment and trade-economic interaction.
In addition, the Consulate will actively work on expansion and further development of cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Conference the headquarters of which is located in Jeddah.
He also pointed out common vision and active participation of Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia in inter-civilization and inter-faith dialogue. Kazakh Ambassador also thanked his Saudi counterpart for support in implementation of Kazakhstan?s initiative on convocation of the Congress of the World and Traditional Religions? Leaders in 2011.
In the course of the meeting the diplomats discussed perpetuation of the name of Nazir Tyuryakulov, Kazakh Diplomat, Consul General to Hejaz in the years of 1928-1932, Permanent Representative of the USSR to Saudi Arabia. He was the first Soviet Representative to Saudi Arabia. Historical essays of N. Tyuryakulov are of great value for political scientists of the two states. M. Taib suggested holding a scientific symposium and other events dedicated to the heritage of N. Tyuryakulov.
