Kyzylagash dam to be rebuilt

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Kyzylagash dam in Almaty region will be restored, this was stated by the head of the region Amandyk Batalov during a meeting on investment opportunities of Zhetysu area.
The round table was attended by the Minister of Agriculture Asylzhan Mamytbekov and representatives of businesses.
According to Amandyk Batalov, before the destruction Kyzylagash dam watered 7600 hectares of land. After the tragic events of March 11, 2010 the dam was destroyed by mud-and-stone stream. Kyzylagash village farmers are focused on sugar beet crops cultivation. He also noted that to support agriculture producers it is necessary to restore the dam and irrigation system.
