Kyrgyzstan to launch 20 oil wells by yearend
Kyrgyzstan will launch 20 oil wells by the end of 2024. This became known during a board meeting of the Ministry of Energy on the results of 9 months, Kabar reported.

The ministry said that on February 9, 2024, license agreement No. 2 was received for oil and gas production at the Severny Sokh and Chongara Galcha fields.
Kyrgyztransneftegaz State Enterprise together with Kyrgyz-Turk K-NeftGaz OJSC carried out repair and preparatory work on 7 oil wells; oil production began on September 25, 2024.
In Kadamjai district of Batken region, JSC Kyrgyz-Turk K-NeftGaz is completing construction of an oil refinery with a capacity of 500 tons per day. With the start of oil production and processing, 350-400 jobs will be provided. The total investment is $90 million.
