Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan to boost trade turnover to $500mln
Heads of government of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan – Adylbek Kasymaliyev and Qohir Rasulzoda - held negotiations in Dushanbe to discuss the prospects for the development of trade-economic ties, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The parties discussed in detail a wide range of topical issues of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the need to raise the bilateral trade to $500 million by 2030, according to the press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet.
Kyrgyzstan is ready to act as an effective link for the supply of Tajik products to the EAEU market. The Kyrgyz side also expressed readiness to study Tajikistan’s experience in agricultural products processing. The heads of government pointed out the need to resume direct flights between the two countries.

The sides hailed successful cooperation in energy sector. The importance of speedy implementation of the CASA-1000 project was highlighted.
As part of the working visit, Kasymaliyev plans to survey Rogun HPP to study Tajikistan’s experience in hydropower sector.
Earlier, it was reported that Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan inked the final protocol on border delimitation.
