BISHKEK. June 10. KAZINFORM /Yevgeny Novikov/ Today at a sitting of the Kyrgyz Interim Government Acting Minister of Economic Regulation of Kyrgyzstan Emil Umetaliev said Kyrgyzstan would monitor the negotiations between the World Trade Organization and the Customs Union.
In particular, he said that establishment of the Customs Union had already influenced the economy of the country. As is known, Kyrgyzstan has not joined the CU yet. "Therefore we must join the negotiation process and learn about advantages and disadvantages. Currently there are more than 70% disagreements on tariffs and studying these issues will take many months. We must study the process of unification taking into account that Kyrgyzstan is the member of the WTO", E. Umetaliev noted.
Besides, he emphasized that Bishkek would monitor the negotiations between the Customs Union and the WTO.
