Kyrgyzstan condemns terrorist attack on Turkish General Consulate in Mosul

BISHKEK. KAZINFORM - Kydyrov Kyrgyzstan condemns the terrorist attack on the General Consulate of Turkey in the city of Mosul, Iraq, and taking of Turkish diplomats and their family members hostages, Kyrgyzstan's Envoy to UN Talaibek Kydyrov said at the session of the UN General Assembly in New York on June 12 devoted to review of implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said.

Talaybek Kadyrov called for their immediate release and punishment of those guilty. He underlined attack on diplomatic missions and their workers is inadmissible, AKI Press informed.

International terrorism poses one of the most serious threats to peace, stability, safety, social and economic development of all states, he said in his address.

Mr. Kadyrov stressed Kyrgyzstan condemns all terrorist acts regardless of their reasons and those who commit them. He also noted inadmissibility of attachment of terrorism to any nation, culture and religion.

The Envoy supported the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy and expressed confidence the fight against terrorism should be continued under UN aegis.

Kyrgyzstan stands for regional cooperation in security issues and fight against international terrorism, he said.
