Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan to expand cooperation in justice

Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan agreed Thursday to digitalize justice and expand practical cooperation between judicial bodies, Kabar reports.

Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan, Nurlan Musaev, announced this at a meeting with the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, Inam Imdad oglu Kerimov.

As reported by the Supreme Court, during the meeting the parties discussed issues of electronic document circulation, registration and distribution of court cases, electronic access to court materials, videoconferencing and information security.

They also explored the possibility of organizing joint workshops, expert meetings and expert exchange visits, and implementing joint projects on digitalization of the judicial system.

The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in learning from Azerbaijan's e-justice experience.

As written earlier, China added Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam to a 240-hour visa-free transit program.
