Kyrgyz Speaker of Zhogorku Kenesh met with Kazakh Ambassador

BISHKEK. January 15. KAZINFORM /Yevgeniy Novikov/ Speaker of the Zhogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of Kyrgyzstan Zainidin Kurmanov met with Kazakh Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Beibit Isabayev, the press service of the Parliament reports.

Z.Kurmanov complimented the rate of sustainable development of the relations with Kazakhstan and confirmed the intention of Kyrgyzstan to continue extension of friendly and allied relations.

Besides, the Speaker stressed the importance of timely ratification of agreement achieved between the two states earlier.

"The Zhogorku Kenesh ratified a range of agreements concerning the two countries including the agreement "On sole proprietorship of Kyrgyzstan citizens on the territory of Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan citizens on the territory of Kyrgyzstan", he said.

This agreement got through domestic procedures in Kyrgyzstan. "In this regard I ask you to make every effort to accelerate this process from the Kazakh side", the Speaker said.

B.Isabayev expressed gratitude for the reception and congratulated Z.Kurmanov on the appointment.

He noted that the domestic procedures on the mentioned bilateral agreements near completion.

The Kazakh Ambassador handed over the invitation of Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Z.Kurmanov to take part in the second Trans-Asian Parliamentary Forum that will be held on May 14-16, 2010 in Astana within the OSCE.
