Kyrgyz President to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan
Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov announced the news on Friday (April 12) following negotiations with his Kyrgyz colleague.
"Since Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are the closest neighbors and cooperate in many spheres, there is a lot to be discussed," Minister Idrissov said.
According to him, a session of the Interstate Council with the participation of Kazakh and Kyrgyz PMs will take place this June. A regular session of the bilateral commission is to be held prior to it.
At the meeting, the Kazakh and Kyrgyz foreign ministers debated the problems of bilateral relations and cooperation in the regional and global format.
"I am fully satisfied with the outcome of the visit. It was a pleasure to meet the President of Kyrgyzstan and the Foreign Minister of the country who visited Kazakhstan officially for the first time. We look forward to welcoming the Kyrgyz leader with his first state visit to Kazakhstan in the near future. This year Kazakhstan will host the Day of Kyrgyz Culture," Mr. Idrissov concluded.
