Kyrgyz man tried to smuggle nearly 10 kg of heroin

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Zhambyl customs officers say they have confiscated huge amounts of heroin at the Kordai customs post on July 16.
A customs office statement Wednesday said they arrested a 44-year-old citizen of Kyrgyzstan after seizing more than 9.87 kg of heroin hidden in the backseat of his Mazda car. In total, 20 packages of heroin were found.
The man was taken in custody for suspected trafficking of heroin. A criminal investigation was initiated.
