Kostanay region to build 23 commercial dairy farms
Kostanay region plans to build 23 modern commercial dairy farms in the nearest time to boost milk products product and export. Seven projects worth 34.8 billion tenge have already been launched which will enable to produce additional 52,000 tons of milk per annum, Kazinform News Agency reports.
As chief of the regional agriculture and land relations department Ibragim Bekmukhamedov says, the region plans to build at least 10 new dairy farms with more than 100 billion tenge of investments to be attracted and about 800 jobs created. The new dairy farms will enable to boost production by 30%, he says.
The region also plans to implement four meat processing projects in the nearest three years with the total cost of 870 million tenge.
A brand new plant for deep processing of grain may also appear in the region in 2026, according to Ibragim Bekmukhamedov. The project is estimated at 50 billion tenge and is expected to employ as many as 600 people.
