KMG Chairman, State Counsellor to Chancellery of Romanian PM discuss cooperation issues
On October 15, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas Askhat Khassenov held talks State Counsellor to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Romania Florin Spătaru in Astana, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The parties discussed the issues of strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Romania in energy sector, namely the activity of Romania’s Rompetrol, a member company of the KMG International Group. Special attention was given to the projects aimed at raising production efficiency and adaptation to new environmental standards.
The sides expressed interest in maintaining the dialogue and implementing joint initiatives to promote mutual development of economic cooperation.
KMG International is the international oil company owned by KazMunayGas. The company has been operating in 15 countries of Europe, Central Asia and North Africa. The company specializes mainly in oil processing, marketing, trade as well as exploration and extraction. KMG International’s major asset is Petromidia Oil Refinery in Romania deemed to be one of the largest projects in the Black Sea region.
