Kingdom of Netherlands to present achievements in 'green energy' at EXPO-2017

ASTANA. June 26. KAZINFORM - Last week the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan, headed by the president of the chamber Sabyr Esimbekov visited the Kingdom of the Netherlands, where it held a number of important meetings with Dutch colleagues, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

During the visit, the delegation had a talk with the Minister of Infrastructure and the Environment of the Netherlands Melanie Schultz Van Hagen Maas Gisteranus, the management of the company «Royal Dutch Shell», representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of the Netherlands, the largest employers' organization «VNO-NCW», and businesspeople.

In light of the Astana International specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017" the Kazakh delegation paid special attention to attracting to Kazakhstan the Netherlands's experience in the field of "green" energy. Taking into account the achievements of the Kingdom in the field of implementing scientific findings in the country's economy during a meeting in the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment M.Shults stressed that "EXPO-2017" would provide an opportunity for Dutch companies to broadly demonstrate the latest technologies and to promote the advancement of energy-efficient programs and new solutions. She also pointed out that many members of the Dutch businesses have expressed great interest in preparing for this event and were ready to take part in a trade mission to Kazakhstan.

In order to further expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation the Kazakh side proposed creation of the Kazakhstan-Netherlands Business Council. The Dutch colleagues supported the idea.

"In the course of negotiations with representatives of business circles of the Netherlands were taken into consideration matters of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, exchange of experience in this field and ways to further intensify collaboration", adds the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
