KHL: Barys devastated by Avangard for fifth time this season

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - HC Barys Astana have suffered their fifth defeat in this KHL season from Avangard last night, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
The hosts devastated Barys 4:1 (0:1, 1:0, 3:0) in Omsk on Saturday earning 92 points and second place in the Eastern Conference. Talgat Zhailauov gave Barys a 1:0 lead in the first stanza. Unfortunately, it was the first and the last goal for Barys players that night. Avangard responded with 4 goals from Erik Gustafsson (23rd minute), Kirill Rasskazov (50th minute), Alexander Perezhogin (59th minute) and Igor Mussatov (60th minute). Barys now sit sixth in the East with 66 points. Next time Barys will host Salavat Yulaev in Astana on January 19.
