KHL: Barys crashed by Lokomotiv 3:4 in shootout series

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - HC Barys Astana have lost to Lokomotiv from Yaroslavl in shootout series 3:4, Kazinform has learned from Vesti.kz.This is the fifth loss for Barys in last 10 games.
The Astana squad were the first to open the score in the fifth minute of the match. However, goals from Yegor Averin and Jiri Novotny (former forward of the Astana club) gave Lokomotiv a 2:1 lead in the second stanza. Nigel Dawes scored the equalizer at the end of the second period. In the third period the Yaroslavl-based club and Barys exchanged goals from Sergey Konkov and Brandon Bochenski respectively. In the shootout series Jiri Novosty upset his ex-teammates again scoring the puck that sealed the fate of the match. Barys will play against HC Dinamo Moscow on September 27 on home ice again.
