KHL: Barys Astana suffer huge defeat from Sibir

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - HC Barys Astana lost their second game in their first 2014-2015 KHL on-road series in Novosibirsk on September 15, Kazinform has learned from Vesti.kz.
The Astana-based club were devastated by HC Sibir 1:4. Dustin Boyd of Barys scored the opener in the third minute of the first period lifting Barys Astana over the hosts 1:0. Sibir's Andreas Thuresson scored the equalizer 14 minutes later.
The second stanza was uneventful. However, the third one was very disappointing for Barys fans as Sibir grabbed the initiative and scored three more goals. With 11 points, HC Barys Astana are currently ranked 4th in the Eastern Conference. Barys will spend the next two games in Vladivostok where they are set to play against HC Admiral on September 17 and September 18.
