KHL: Barys' luck runs out as Metallurg snaps 3-game winning streak

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Last night HC Barys Astana were unable to stretch their winning streak to four games, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
From the very beginning of the match the guests - Metallurg from Magnitogorsk hammered Barys' goalie Pavel Poluektov with pucks and scored three goals in the first stanza in the 7th, 10th and 13th minutes respectively. Barys players managed to snatch the initiative only in the third period when Nigel Dawes and Roman Starchenko tried to minimize the gap by scoring one goal apiece. However, it did not help the hosts to win. Thus, Metallurg snapped Barys' 3-game winning streak. HC Avangard will host Barys in Omsk on January 17.
