KHL: Ak Bars devastate Barys in Astana

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - HC Barys have suffered another shocking defeat from Ak Bars in Astana on Wednesday night, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
Ak Bars devastated Andrei Nazarov's side 4:1 not giving them a slightest chance to improve their ranking in the KHL's Eastern Conference. Ak Bars players snatched the initiative from the first seconds of the match with Mikhail Varnakov and Igor Mirnov giving their team 2:0 lead. Mikhail Varnakov once again upset Barys in the second stanza scoring his second goal. Forward Dustin Boyd scored for Barys in the second period. His puck didn't help the Astana club as Mikhail Glukhov of Ak Bars scored in the last minutes of the game. Next time Barys will travel to Magnitororsk to vie against HC Metallurg on December 26.
