Khazret Sultan mosque to become spiritual center: Kazakh Leader

ASTANA. July 6. KAZINFORM Khazret Sultan Mosque will not be only a place to say prayers but also a large spiritual center, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev voiced his opinion at the unveiling ceremony of the new mosque on Friday (July 6) in Astana.
"Hadith says each adherent of Islam from the day of birth till the day of death should have thirst for knowledge. Islam is not against science, on the contrary, it has contributed to many discoveries in the scientific world," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
President Nazarbayev noted the new mosque had a library and stressed that a mosque man cannot focus on religion only, he should have a well furnished mind.
